Meissen 4 Seasons Mantle Clock On Base. 3.5 in. porcelain dial with blue Roman hour numerals, 5 minute numbers, gilt pierced hands, brass hinged door bezel with beveled convex crystal and painted depiction of the Ouroboros serpent around the bezel; round brass 8 day spring driven movement signed "Lenzkirch" and numbered "1 Million, 21229", has a half hour strike on a bell. The porcelain case is allover decorated with applied flowers and filigree, the 4 seated figural putti represent the 4 seasons with Spring holding a strand of flowers, Summer at the top with a goblet of wine, Autumn with a bale of wheat and sickle and Winter wears a cloak while warming his hands over a fire; on a matching porcelain base signed with blue Meissen crossed swords mark. Good overall condition, has repair to one hand and one foot of both Autumn and Spring; typical minor losses to the flowers and leaves, missing pendulum. 22.75 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 8.5 in. deep.
