German Enamel Decorated Animated Singing Bird Box, by Karl Griesbaum. Case is enamel decorated on the top and 4 side panels with colorful scenic views, the hinged oval lid is enamel decorated with 2 woman sitting in a garden, has gilt metal borders with engraved design; operated by a switch in the front, the lid lifts up and exposes the small animated feathered bird which flaps its wings and swivels back and forth while whistling a tune. In good condition, has a nice gilt finish with no damage or losses, bird has nice brisk motion and good strong sound; bottom of the case is signed with E.B. in an oval and "Germany". 1.5 in. high x 4 in. wide x 2.5 in. deep. Weight: 1.5 lbs.
