Description

(Italian, 19th Century), After Raphael Sanzio (Italian, 1483-1520), "Conestabile Madonna." 19th century watercolor on paper, copy of the "Conestabile Madonna" depicts Madonna holding a child while reading a book, has a landscaper scene with mountains in the background. The painting is presented in a giltwood frame with leaf & vine decoration throughout, and two outward facing winged mythical creatures on each side. Painting signed on the bottom right, "C. Mariannecci Fece 1869." The original work is located in the Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg. Dimensions: frame: 26 1/4 in. high x 19 1/4 in. wide; sight: 7 1/2 in. high x 7 1/2 in. wide. Weight: 7.20 lbs.
